Originally, this scarf was published in early 2014 making it one of my firsts, but as of November 2019, I have updated the format, and added three more sizes!

Materials:

  • 130 - 650 Yards of Worsted Weight Yarn - I used Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Yarn out of my stash
  • I9/5.5mm Crochet Hook
  • Tapestry Needle for Weaving in Ends
  • Optional for Pom Pom, Thread - I used silamide thread
  • Optional for Pom Pom, Hot Glue Gun and Sticks

Material Notes:
Yarn Alternatives: Berroco’s Vintage, Red Heart’s With Love.

I estimated the yardage. For the basic scarf, I know I can make at least two of the toddler sizes with one skein, and I know it takes about one and a half skeins for the adult small size. Following the instructions for the adult small, one skein gives 49” in length.

If you want to add a simple border edging, and pom poms, you will need more yarn. I was able to work the basic scarf for the adult small, add an edging and pom poms with 700 yards.

Thread & Hot Glue: Helpful for making a more secure pom pom.

Time Spent:
I worked up the adult small size in roughly three and a half hours.

Sized For:
Toddler, Child, Adult Small & Large

Gauge:
14 DC by 8 Rows = 4”

Abbreviations:
DC - Double Crochet
