Gauge is not critical for this pattern.

It can made using any multiple of 3 for starting chain.

I used 2 entire cakes of Lion Brand Cupcake DK, but it could be made to any length by adding more yarn.

It could also be made with worsted weight yarn, but the amount needed would have to be adjusted to make whatever size you wanted.
