This easy hat pattern is perfect for beginners, who don’t want to knit in the round (version knit flat) or for those who want to knit in the round. So you will get 2 files with instructions for knitting flat (including instructions on how to sew the seam using a mattress stitch) and for knitting in the round.

There are 3 hat sizes in this pattern: small (baby), medium (young adult/teen) and large (adult).

Sizes:
Small: 12 inch / 30 cm circumference – 5 inch / 13 cm high
Medium: 14.5 inch / 37 cm circumference – 7 inch / 18 cm high
Large: 18.5 inch / 47 cm circumference – 8.5 inch / 22 cm high

You can use any yarn and as much colors as you would like, so it is a great stash buster. You can knit this hat in no time, so it is great for a last minute gift!

And it uses only 1 ball of yarn in total so it is a one skein project (for knitting the hat in one color)!

• Straight or double pointed knitting needles size US 7 / 4.5 mm for brim
• Straight or double pointed knitting needle sizes US 8 / 5 mm for body
• Stitch marker
• Big blunt tapestry needle with a large eye
• Tape measure
• Optional: (fake fur) pompom
