This crochet hat is inspired by needle & skein and Sarah Sward @swardsarah. The knit version can be found on the needle & skein website or on ravelry.
ALL proceeds will be used to support families affected by ICE by giving to organizations vetted by standwithminnesota.com.

Any red yarn can be used to make this hat with the appropriate hook size indicated on the yarn label. The brim of the hat is worked in rows that will end up vertical on the hat. To adjust the guage, simply crochet the initial chain the height you would like the brim (remember to double if you want a folded brim) and work the scblo until the brim is the circumference you desire. Similarly, the crown of the hat can be extended as much as you like before you start decreasing for the tip of the hat.

This pattern uses single crochet back loop only and half double crochet. Beginners should be able to find tutorials for those stitches easily online and pick them up quickly. The peak of the hat uses hdctog decreases. If you get frustrated with these you can simply skip a stitch and the hat will still turn out fine with minimal gaps.
