This is a further development of the diamond shawl c2c. By pacing the ch6 filet square you create a lattice of diamonds within which sits a solid diamond made in the usual c2c way. It uses the traditional c2c method of increasing but some of the squares are replaced by ch6 loops to create an open pattern. I have placed the usual intro to this set of patterns at the start before the pattern. If you already have a copy of these you could easily skip to the pattern when printing off.
Once you can see the repeat you can fly along. Because of the openwork it is very quick to work up. The gaps also make sure that if it’s for a baby there are breathe holes for safety.
You can use any yarn you want, I recommend you use a hook size one bigger than recommended to obtain the open lacey effect.

I am not a professional pattern writer just a nan who likes to experiment.
If you hit any difficulties please let me know what the problem is and I’ll try to help.

The way I work is not to use testers but to offer the pattern free for the first 4 -6 weeks after which if I have not had any queries or complaints I assume the pattern is good and will charge a nominal fee.
This is part of the Holey Moley collection which will eventually be published in an ebook.
