This pattern is a good one if you are learning to read patterns. You won’t find funny looking abbreviations here – everything is spelled out for you.

The hat works up very quickly and only uses chains, slip stitches and half-double crochet stitches. It is easily customizable as far as colors or sizes.

The heart appliqué uses chains, slip stitches, single crochet, half-double crochet, double crochet and treble crochet stitches.
