Super easy shawl collar cardigan with optional i-cord edging is hand knit with common worsted weight yarn. Edging is actually attractive without the optional i-cord. Unfaced front edges and collar look good on both right and wrong sides of sweater. The i-cord does fortify the edges.

Fronts and back are knit in one piece up to the armholes, meeting at center front. Back neck shaping, to prevent shoulder seams riding on the upper back and hiking up the front edge. Sloping increases from bust to bottom edge along invisible side seams.

Detailed instructions include finished (washed and dried) measurements throughout which allow for any adjustments in the overall fit.

Any worsted weight yarn which produces gauge will work for this knitted sweater, including any combination of finer yarns which together constitute the worsted weight gauge.

First 2 photos show i-cord edging. Second pair of photos show raw edges without i-cord. Raw edges do not roll.
