The beanie is worked flat, then sewn together and finished with a gathered crown, to create a soft, built-in pom-style puff at the top. The finished beanie has approximately 5 cm (2 in) of negative ease for a snug, comfortable fit.

Knitting a gauge swatch is recommended to ensure the best fit.
