Gauge & Size: Approximately 14 sts and 24 rows over 4”, unstretched. This results in a brim measuring 17” unstretched. Both versions fit over a head of 24’’ comfortably.

Supplies
Yarns:
65-90 grams of worsted weight yarn or 100-120 grams fingering weight yarn.
20g of fine lace weight mohair.

Version one was made with six Dragon Hoard Yarn 20g mini skeins and two colors of Ella Rae Silky Kid mohair. Three mini skeins of the six were held together with one of the colors of mohair and the other three mini skeins were held with the second color of mohair to create “two colors”. Each “color” being three strands of fingering and one strand of mohair. This combination created a slightly heavier weight of yarn than worsted. This hat used 100 grams of fingering weight yarn and 16 grams (8 grams each color) of mohair in total.

Version two was made with one skein of Dragon Hoard Yarn 100g worsted weight and 20g Ella Rae Silky Kid mohair. Each type of yarn was divided in half to create “Two colors” (this was easier to keep the pattern straight in my brain). Each “color” being one strand of worsted and one strand of mohair. This hat used 65 grams of worsted weight yarn and 16 grams of mohair in total.

Yardage
Version one: 436 yards fingering weight and 141 yards mohair
Version two: 140 yards worsted and 141 yards mohair

Needles: US #4, 16” Circular or DPNs (an extra needle is required for 3-needle bind off).

Both versions used the same size needle

Notions: 6 sts markers, measuring tape & tapestry needle
