Join the KAL for these socks from April 21st through June 1st. Here in my Ravelry group or on Twitter using the Hashtag #EatYourGreensKAL. There will be prizes and you don’t have to finish the pair to be eligible!

Skills required: Knitting in the round, making increases and decreases, reading a chart, Kitchener/grafting (explained in pattern)

An advanced beginner should be able to tackle this pattern, as long as you can read and follow charted instructions. The lace motif is fairly simple and fully charted. The rest of the instructions are written out.

Introduction: “Eat your greens” is a common refrain from many a childhood. This sock pattern is far more attractive than those sad little piles of soggy-looking, leafy greens. Both legs are worked the same way with the heel directions being set up differently for the left and right legs. The leafy motif is designed to be on the outside of each leg, thus necessitating the different heel instructions.
