Take brown bag days to a new level! Bonus points if the school mascot is a bronco or mustang. “Eats like a horse” is intended to be a fun way to get your little ones to eat their healthy food…like a horse, when you aren’t there to encourage them. He is sure to be a hit at the lunch table with children and teachers alike. The mouth of the horse is created by knitting in the round and inserting a short zipper, which creates a pouch used to store milk money or the horses “treat of the day” (snack). With a little bit of effort, the eyes can be worked lose for washing. Horse is made out of a washable hard-wearing yarn. If making for a small child’s lunch box, I wouldn’t choose solid white yarn as it will show stains, I would actually opt for a Comfy Color Mist color. This pattern is meant for school aged children and adults, so eyes won’t be a choking hazard. Pattern does come with optional unicorn horn instructions.
Who says this can’t be a project bag? Keep a measuring tape and small scissors in the mouth.
Caution: Leave unicorn unattended in the fridge at your own risk.
