You know those wonderful crisp days when all you want to do is take a long walk in the woods to get lost? Or go antiquing at your favorite flea market? So, you grab your grandma’s sweater and head out. This jacket reminds me of my grandma’s. It was a beautiful cable knit that has survived in my family for over 70 years. My grandma Ebba was a world class knitter and amazing woman. She lived in Northern Minnesota and my days were spent getting lost on the north shore of Lake Superior. You would need a jacket most days on the shore since it is a bit chilly with the wind off the lake.

This is my twist on her sweater. It is comfy and cozy with a bit of a modern spin. It is knit cuff to cuff (with a cute little thumb hole) in one piece. The jacket is knit in the reverse stockinette to show off the beauty of the “wrong side”. The large neckline can be worn in several ways to suit your fancy. It is designed for the sleeves to be snug and loose everywhere else so that you can snuggle up in this jacket!
