This sock was designed for this specific yarn. It is not like any other fingering weight sock yarn I have knit with. You can of course use any fingering weight sock yarn, but your gauge will most likely be different. So be careful when choosing a size. If you’re knitting with a more standard sock gauge of about 32 sts per 4 inch / 10 cm, go up one or two sizes. Because of the cable, the sock needs about 3-5 sts more than a vanilla sock.

Size: Sock circumference of 7 (7.5, 8, 8.5, 9.25) 9.75, 10.25, 11, 11.5 inch
Or 17 (18.5, 20, 21.5, 23) 24.5, 25.5, 27, 28.5 cm
Socks are usually worn with about 1-2 inch / 2.5-5 cm of negative ease.

Yarn: 100 g of Frau Wöllfchen Southd fingering (or any other fingering weight sock yarn)

Needles: 2.5 mm (US 1.5) or size needed to obtain gauge

Gauge: 28 sts and 42 rows per 4 inch / 10 cm in stockinette stitch
