Eddisbury is the name given to an ancient hill fort found in Cheshire, England. The contours and ditches of the hill fort were the inspiration for these socks.

There are two sizes; medium and large with a cast on of 60 or 72 stitches. A simple 4-row repeat gives an attractive texture and rib pattern, making these perfect for ladies or gentlemen.

The pattern has been written for 4ply or any sock weight yarn and using a set of 5 double-pointed needles. The pattern texture works well in any solid, semi-solid or varigated yarn.

These socks are worked in the round, from the cuff down, with a slip-stitch heel flap.
