This little elephant is perfect as baby’s first toy, with a trunk that just begs to be gripped! It measures approximately 11cm high by 15cm long. This project requires two main colours (one for the body and the other for the contrasting feet and inner ears) plus a small amount of black to stitch on eyes.

Tension is not crucial but a smaller hook than is usually recommended for this yarn is used to make a close fabric to prevent the fibre fill from coming through.

You can use the yarn mentioned or substitute another in the same ply, or be adventurous and use a finer or thicker yarn to make elephants of different sizes.
