Edinburgh Socks
The Edinburgh is named for the thistle design on the front. It’s said all Scots are like their thistle: Strong, stubborn and prickly but the beauty within soon flowers in rich, deep, and majestic color.
Instructions for knitting each sock both from the cuff down and from the toe up are included for each style. Although each method of construction, whether cuff down or toe up, produces a similar sock, there are subtle differences and making one of each would not make a matching pair. Panels are used in most and it may be helpful to place stitch markers between each panel.
These patterns are for the intermediate knitter.
