This headband combines comfort with folk-inspired texture. The interior is worked in soft 1x1 ribbing for a stretchy, comfortable fit, while the exterior features ribbed edges, stockinette sections, lateral braids, and a simple stranded colorwork motif.

Headband Sizes: XS (48–50 cm), S (51–53 cm), M (54–56 cm), L (57–60 cm). For a comfortable, stretchy fit, cast on for a headband approximately 3 cm smaller than your measured head circumference.

Yarn: Main Colour (DK, held double) – approx. 55 g for size M; Contrast Colour (Aran, held single) – approx. 15 g for size M. Adjust quantities slightly for other sizes.

Needles & Gauge: 3.5 mm (US 4) circular needles for ribbing/interior, 4.0 mm (US 6) circular needles for the main body/exterior. Gauge: 20 sts × 30 rows = 10 × 10 cm (4 × 4 in) in stockinette.

Techniques: stockinette stitch, ktbl, ribbing, lateral braids, stranded colorwork, flat-seamed finishing/Kitchener Stitch. The long-tail cast-on is used; a provisional cast-on may be used as an alternative if preferred.
