Eenie Meenie Baby Blanket is an easy to knit project using worsted weight yarn. With simple knits and purls and a repetitive pattern, you’ll quickly get into a rhythm as you knit this lovely baby blanket.

DIRECTIONS FOR TWO SIZES + Washcloth:

Washcloth: 6” wide (15.24 cm) X 6” tall (15.24 cm)
Security Blanket: 14.5” wide (39.38 cm) x 17” tall (43.18 cm)
Stroller Blanket: 30.5” wide (77.5 cm) x 35” tall (89 cm)

All sizes may be made longer by adding pattern repeats.

WORSTED WEIGHT YARN:

Washcloth: 25-36 yds/(23-33 m)
Security Blanket: 228-234 yds (208-214 m)
Stroller Blanket: 900 yards (835 m) – 950 yards (869 m)

Be sure to buy additional yarn if you plan to add length to your project.

I used 3 different colors of I Love This Cotton Yarn! in worsted weight.
Washcloth = Stonewash
Security = Mint
Stroller = White

Finished size and amount of yarn needed may vary depending on yarn choice and gauge.

GAUGE:

Gauge is not absolutely necessary but is recommended for best outcome.

CIRCULAR KNITTING NEEDLES:

These blankets and washcloth are knit flat, back and forth, in one piece. I used circular needles to accommodate the number of stitches required. The washcloth may be knit on straight needles if you prefer.

SKILL LEVEL: Easy

If you are comfortable knitting and purling, you can knit the Eenie Meenie Baby Blanket.

Make a Slip Knot
Long Tail Cast On
Knit Stitch
Purl Stitch
How to Slip a Stitch
How to Bind Off

Blocking is not essential.

This pattern uses standard U.S. knitting terms.
