This darling little chick stands about 2 inches tall using worsted weight yarn.

I have made mine working in the back loops only (BLO).

Materials:

G crochet hook – or a hook size that will allow you to crochet a firm fabric without gaps

Sample made in worsted weight - approx 50 or less yards total to complete this pattern.

Tapestry Needle, Scissors, and Stitch marker

Craft eyes* (suggested 6 mm), or yarn to embroider eyes

Craft eyes/nose and buttons not recommended for children under 3

Double Crochet
Triple Crochet
Half Double Crochet
Sewing on parts using yarn tails
Crocheting in the round (spiral)
