EGGSES Parents & Babies: FUN, FUN, FUN!!! A collection of 7 crochet patterns for egg cosies, plus directions to make 2 sizes of eggs that fit in them--AND the eggs can be stuffed toys OR they themselves can be made as egg cosies! Make them in a variety of sizes, colours, and styles-- They make lunchboxes fun when used to tuck a hardboiled egg into--but they are great as toys, too. As play food, for practicing colours, sorting to match parent & baby, or using their imagination to make up games with the EGGSES--kids will have fun with them for hours!

Also included: directions to use the Parent patterns to make thumbless mittens--in cotton they make great bath mitts, so much more fun than a washcloth! In wool or other yarn they are fun winter warmers for little fingers.

All the Eggses Parents are worked flat then sewn or crocheted together (you can crochet together with slip stitch). The crocheted Eggses Babies are worked in the round.

These crocheted children’s toys are quick and fun to create from oddments of yarn left over from other projects. The size of yarns, needles, and hooks will determine the size of your finished Eggses.

I used a variety of worsted weight yarns, with 3.5, 4, 4.25 & 4.5 mm hooks.
