A touch of lace, a lot of stockinette…stitch after stitch to relax into and enjoy. This is both a process and a product knit, perfect for a quiet season’s project. We know you’ll love wearing your finished square too -- it’s sized so that when you fold it on the diagonal, you have ample tails to tuck into a coat (or your best sweatshirt).

One color sample: Downy Fingering in color Cambric
Two color sample: Elmer Tweed Fingering in color Thermal and Elmer Fingering in color Gray Is My Favorite Color

If you choose to knit your border in a second color as we’ve done in our Elmer (Tweed) Fingering sample, you’ll need approx. 750 yards / 685m in the main color and 380 yards / 350m in the border color.

Needles listed are suggested.
Gauge Needle: US 7 (4.5mm) double points, 16”, 32”, and 40” circular needles, or your preferred method for knitting small to large circumferences. We used a 40” circular needle and worked using the Magic Loop technique until the stitches fit around the needle.

While gauge is not crucial, it will affect overall yardage used and the overall finished dimensions.
