Silk Slipover
This piece, worked in einrúm PURE 100 % silk, can be used either as a deliciously slinky summer top, a luxurious undershirt or as a vest over a thin blouse or shirt. The seed stitch selvedges and rib bands make a nice contrast to the stocking stitch fabric. Working the front neckband sideways creates a decorative edge towards the main fabric. A double knit band gives the bottom edge a nice stability.

CONSTRUCTION
The Silk Slipover is worked top-down beginning at the upper back. The seed stitch edges along the armholes are worked along with the main fabric for back and front while the neckband is worked at the end.
First, two small pieces of ribbing are worked for the bottom arm- holes.
The upper back, initiating from an open cast-on forming the shoulder line, is then worked back and forth to the bottom of the armholes.
The left and then the right side of the front neckline is worked from stitches along the open shoulder line cast-on. The two sides of the front are joined by casting on stitches at the centre, and the front is worked downward to the base of the armholes.
Inserting the pieces of ribbing at the armholes and joining front and back, the rest of the body is worked in the round, ending with a double-knit bottom band. Finally, the seed stitch neckband is worked sideways onto the front, and a rib band like those at the armholes is worked to finish the back neck.
