Materials & Tools:
1. Yarn Requirements:
Light fingering yarn,
approx. 1455m.

Suggested Yarn:
Knitting for Olive Cotton Merino, 70% cotton, 30% merino wool.
My sample was made in Dark Ocher colorway.

  1. Hook size 3mm. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
  2. Tapestry needle (to weave and hide yarn ends).
  3. Scissors.
  4. 3 stitch markers.

Level: Intermediate.

Gauge after blocking:
After Row 10 the shawl is approx. 10.5cm (4”) high and 24.25cm (10”) wide.

Gauge is not crucial for this project. However, changes might result in a different yardage requirements and the finished size.

Size after blocking:
One size, adjustable: 170cm x 76cm (67”x30”).

Notes:

  1. The pattern uses US Terminology.
  2. The shawl is worked top-down in one piece, back and forth in rows.
  3. You can make this shawl as long as you like by adding or substracting pattern repeats.
  4. You can use yarn in different weights, but be aware that the measurements will be different depending on your gauge.
