Eirena is my little confession of love for twisted stitches. The circular yoke features a beautiful interplay of twisted stitches, lace, and cables, creating a delicate and intricate pattern that gradually gives way to simple stockinette on the body and sleeves. The result is a sweater with a richly detailed yoke and a calm, timeless silhouette.

The instructions are provided for two different yoke depth options, allowing you to choose the fit that suits you best. Eirena is worked seamlessly from the top down, making it easy to adjust the length of both the body and sleeves to your personal preference.

Eirena is designed to be worn with 16.5–18 cm / 6.5–7.25” of positive ease. The sample shown is a size 3, worn with 17.5 cm / 7” of positive ease.

NEEDLES:
• 2.5 mm/U.S. size 1.5 circular needles or your preferred needles for knitting small circumference in the round (neck)
• 3.0 mm/U.S. size 2.5 80 cm/32” circular needles, or size needed to obtain gauge
• 3.0 mm/U.S. size 2.5 circular needles or your preferred needles for knitting small circumference in the round (sleeves)

PATTERN NOTES:
• The sweater is worked in one piece top down.
• You start with the twisted ribbing for neckband and then continue with the lace chart minding the instructions on how to make long or short yoke depending on your choice. To choose your yoke depth, first measure the yoke depth of your favourite, best-fitting sweater, then pick the closest option from the measurements table above under “e – center front yoke depth (long/short)”.
• You start with the circular yoke according to the chart (written instructions for the chart are also provided).
• After the circular yoke, you separate the sleeves and the body, add length to upper back , then continue working the sleeves and the body separately.
