Named for the sinuous ridges formed by glacial deposits, the Eiscir Neckwarmer will stand up to the chilly blasts of winter and the office air conditioner. It’s narrower at the top, to hug your neck and keep out drafts, then gently flares at the base to sit comfortably on your shoulders.

Eiscir is worked from the top down in one piece. The sample used 65 gm of an unlabeled 3-ply alpaca yarn bought at the Wisconsin Sheep and Wool Festival.

This pattern is part of the book Live Loop Cables in Crochet, which uses an innovative technique to create I-cord like cables on the fabric surface. Patterns were tech edited by Amy Daraghy (GreenHook on Rav).

Thanks for viewing, and happy crocheting!
