El Rey Viejo Washcloth by Ashley Hoggard

El Rey Viejo Washcloth

This pattern is available as a free Ravelry download

I’ve been making varieties of this washcloth for several years – a broken rib body section with some sort of border. It’s my favorite: easy to knit, a pleasure to use, and pretty to look at. Here, the knitted-on border with short row corners and grafted ends provides a little spice. The name “El Rey Viejo” honors a friend’s father, for whom I first knit this cloth.

If you are new to knitted-on edgings, short row corners, or grafting ends, consider using this pattern to try something new.
