Eldfjall is a unisex sock pattern featuring stranded colourwork. It is knit cuff down with a heel flap and rounder heel. The gusset decreases are positioned at the bottom of the foot. Eldfjall is the Icelandic word for volcano, and the Icelandic vulcanoes inspired this sock.

There are 3 sizes available: Small (64 stitches), Medium (72 stitches) and Large (80 stitches).

You’ll need fingering weight sock yarn in 2 contrasting colours: about 70 grams for main colour and 40 grams for contrast colour.

Other materials required are a set of knitting needles for working small circumferences in the round, at least 3 stitch markers, and a tapestry needle.

This pattern contains 6 pages. Basic instructions are 3.5 pages and then there are 2 pages for charts.

A big thank you goes out to my test knitters: bikewi, Drahdiwawal, luv2run, nevolik, TBerezhnaya, and Tescamaru
