The Eldgos Bag is a compact crossbody bag with a geometric volcano design on both sides, made using tapestry crochet. The bag features a volcanic eruption at the flap closure and a “lava flow” marled design in the strap. It is the perfect size to carry a phone, cards/cash, and a few other small items.

The Eldgos Bag was selected as the winning crochet design for the 2024 Manitoba Fibre Festival x Wolseley Wool design contest featuring Icelandic breed wool.

Three colours of wool are needed to complete the bag as designed:
Yarn colour A (mountain/volcano): 75 metres/82 yards
Yarn colour B (sky/ash): 53 metres/58 yards
Yarn colour C (lava): 35 metres/38 yards

Two strands of yarn (colours A and C) are held together for the construction of the bag strap.

Dimensions of bag when closed are 25cm/9.8 inches long by 12.5 cm/4.9 inches wide. Yarn estimate is for a strap length of 143 cm/56.3 inches, but strap length is customizable.

This listing is for a PDF pattern download, not a handmade bag.
