Eldwyn Crown
This seamless, cable and colour-work free knitted crown makes a wonderful gift for the kids in your life (or for yourself!). Eldwyn Crown is an Experienced Beginner or Intermediate knitter’s joy with many interesting parts. There are 7 sizes available, so it will fit kids as young as 12 months, all the way up to adult sizing. It requires between 19g (XXS) and 32g (XXL) of 4-ply/Fingering Weight Yarn.
Beginners Challenge Yourself: Video tutorials are included to demonstrate the stitches and provide handy help for each of the more challenging components of this crown; learn, have fun and create something lovely!
The Crown is worked by casting all the edge Stitches onto circular needles using Judy’s Magic Cast-On method, half waiting to be resumed once the inside side is completed. Join in the Round and work whilst creating the crown shaping using simple increases and decreases. Leave the remaining Stitches on hold, resume the cast-on stitches to repeat for the other side beginning with a row of popcorn bobbles, changing colours for two rows and working an interesting inverted-daisy motif.
The live stitches at the bottom of each side are then joined together using a third needle; and are finally bound-off using an I-cord cast-off which creates the crown base.
