Consisting of a lovely lace chevron pattern and a moss stitch border, this blanket is both soft and substantial enough to keep little ones nice and snug.

Skills required:
Cast on
Knit
Purl
Knit two stitches together
Yarn over
Slip stitch knitwise
Pass slipped stitch over
DVD (Double vertical decrease) – slip the next 2 stitches knitwise as though knitting them together, replace the slipped stitch nearest the needle tip back onto the left-hand needle, knit this and the next stitch together through the back loop, pass the remaining slipped stitch over.
Cast off

(Please note that I found this blanket gained a couple of inches during the blocking process – expect it to be slightly smaller before blocking.)

For this blanket I used Knitcraft Make the Change DK (pictured here in Lilac) but any yarn that meets the weight/tension requirements will work.
