For the month of May I designed the square around my favorite Austen Character Eleanor Dashwood.

I always admired Eleanor, her poise and strength of willpower and character. Somehow I always picture Eleanor in a garden so I designed the square with that in mind. The slipped stitches remind me of flowers and the yarn colorway is reminiscent of a garden in the fall.

This pattern is perfect for that crazy variegated skein you have been stashing away not knowing what to do with it.

Something to keep in mind while knitting: Make sure, while carrying the yarn slipping the stitches keep the yarn nice and loose so as not to pucker the finished fabric.
