Electa was adapted from a pattern described in The Workwoman’s Guide by A Lady published in 1838. Muffatees were worn by 19th century women to help keep their hands warm in the cold temperatures of the home in winter. Today they perform just as well for us! They are also warming when worn with gloves or mittens out-of-doors.

Two choices of colorwork stitch patterns are included in this very easy and quick-to-knit pattern. Electa has a comfortable, non-binding garter stitch cuff. This project is ideal for using up small amounts of stash yarn. Pattern requires the following skills: working in the round in small circumferences, stranded colorwork.
