The beautiful electric blue in Mad Scientist Yarns Cosmic Candy colorway delights me to no end and floods me with memories of my grandmother, Hazel, who I used to visit a province over in British Columbia during our summer vacations. She taught seniors line dancing for several years, and so my brother and I would be brought to the dance hall to watch (and sometimes participate) in line dancing with all these lovely folks in their western wear… which entailed that electric blue. Funny how we forget about these wonderful, pleasant moments like that until we are brought back to them with something as simple as a color.

Worked in the round, Electric Slide contains written directions and a chart for the pattern stitch. Directions are for both cuff-down and toe-up. If you feel inclined to make 2 in the same direction, that’s completely acceptable, or one of each if you’re feeling particularly topsy-turvy! Electric Slide features 7 sizes; XX-Small, X-Small, Small, Medium, Large, X-Large, & XX-Large. You’ll also find a sock worksheet, so you know how to measure your foot to achieve a perfect fit. Electric Slide has directions for an afterthought heel, but you may substitute whatever heel you enjoy using.

The pattern is written for the magic loop method for knitting socks; however, the pattern notes do contain details should you wish to use double pointed needles instead.
