Tutorial for the SYTK Stitch

What happens when you can you smell the chill in the air? What can be better for the cold weather than an attention to style, detail, comfort, and aesthetic? It’s time to visit the North county but don’t leave unprepared!

This beautiful over-sized Tam o’Shanter bonnet pattern has a lovely lacy look. It has a wide band, a large pom, and ribbon detailing. It is available in sizes baby to large adult.

The materials required are:

1 skein of Lion-Brand Wool-Ease yarn
or under 200 yards any other Aran weight yarn

1 yard 5/8” - 1½” satin ribbon

32” or longer 5mm (US size 8) circular knitting needles for magic loop method or DPNs

Tapestry needle or a crochet hook to cinch top

Large/X-Large pom pom maker or a 4”x4” piece of cardboard

Wool-Ease is an Aran weight yarn. If you use a smaller, worsted weight yarn, your project may be far too small. You will have to watch your gauge carefully. If you’re unsure, it will be best to use a heavy worsted or light bulky yarn if you’re not using Wool-Ease for your project
