Description
This cheerful baby blanket features a simple but attractive elephant pattern that appeals to young children, especially when knit in high-contrast or bold colours. The seed stitch borders create an interesting texture for little hands to explore. To make every blanket unique, the blanket is personalized with the baby’s name along the top border, and the baby’s birth date and weight along the bottom border. The squares are knit separately and then sewn together. The elephant image is easy to work, and the seed sitch border around each square helps keep it flat. After the squares are assembled, a seed stitch border is worked from stitches picked up along each blanket edge. Although the blanket pictured is knit in two colours, this blanket would also look great multi-colour.
