A show-stopper of a cardigan design for baby with a cute elephant motif and Latvian braids. The sizes range from newborn through to toddler (2 year old) size.

The garment is designed to use and extra fine superwash merino yarn - but any baby-suitable yarn of a similar gauge (10 cm/ 4” = 32 stitches/30 rows) would work. The pattern is versatile and is a good way of using up leftover yarn.

The cardigan is knit top down in the round and steeked. Detailed instructions, charts and illustrations are given at every stage, including for securing the steek.
