When a calf is born into an elephant herd, the entire community rejoices at the arrival of the new little one. Not only does the elephant mom lovingly care for her baby, but the rest of the herd also provides protection and security so that the young elephant can grow up safe and sound. This great “elephant love” is what makes this design so perfect for a baby blanket in my eyes. Snuggled up in it, I hope your baby will feel just as safe and protected.

The motif is created only by knit and purl stitches. The pattern explains very detailed and stitch by stitch how you can knit this lovely blanket, so even ambitioned beginners will succeed. And if there should be any questions, I’ll be happy to help!

Wenn in einer Elefantenherde ein Jungtier geboren wird, freut sich die ganze Gemeinschaft über den neuen kleinen Erdenbürger. Nicht nur die Elefantenmama umsorgt ihr Baby liebevoll, auch die übrigen Herdenmitglieder schenken Schutz und Geborgenheit, damit das Kleine behütet aufwachsen kann. Diese große „Elefantenliebe“ macht das Motiv für eine Babydecke für mich so passend. Eingekuschelt darin soll sich Dein Baby hoffentlich ebenso sicher und beschützt fühlen. So eine besondere Decke wird auch später noch eine wunderbare Erinnerung an die Kindheit sein!

Das Motiv entsteht nur durch rechte und linke Maschen. Die Anleitung ist so ausführlich beschrieben, dass sich schon ambitionierte Anfänger daran wagen können. Grundkenntnisse im Stricken müssen vorhanden sein.
