I wanted to knit a special dress for my daughter’s blessing, but I didn’t feel my knitting skills were up to some complicated fancy-lace, beaded, picot-edged confection. Instead, I designed something pretty but simple. Knitted from the top down with no seams, a raglan bodice and a simple lace skirt are elevated to something more with some crochet edging and a judicious use of ribbons.
