Elida is a colorwork hat designed by Tanis Gray for Barrett Wool Co. Elida uses four colors of our Home Worsted Weight to create a stunning effect. The colors in the sample hat are Field, Peppercorn, Marmalade and Snowy Pine. These same colors are used in Tanis’ Erland and Vidar hats for Barrett Wool Co. With four skeins of Home Worsted you can make all three of these hats.

The Elida hat starts out with a 1 x 1 corrugated rib and then moves into a stranded colorwork motif that uses only two colors at a time. The pattern is charted, clear and concise. This makes for a very simple and enjoyable knit!
