Elios
Elios is knit in Fibre Gentili yarn, spun from wool sourced in Basilicata, once part of Magna Graecia. The sweater takes its name from Helios, the ancient Greek god of the sun, and is worked in a warm, sunlit shade.
The design reimagines the cable pattern from Ginger (Laine Magazine issue 15), with interlocking braids forming floral, leafy chains across the body and sleeves. A seed stitch background adds subtle texture and depth.
Finished with a folded neckline and a shaped raglan yoke, Elios features a gently tapered waist and wide sleeves for a comfortable yet refined silhouette.

NOTES
This sweater is knitted top down in the round starting from the neck, with short row shaping on the back and increases worked along the raglan lines. The compound raglan shaping features rapid body increases between the neck and shoulders, followed by more gradual increases toward the underarm. Larger sizes include an additional set of rapid body increases before the underarm for enhanced shaping. Gradual waist shaping is worked below the bust. A lateral braid is worked as a border before the ribbed finishing on the hem, cuffs, and folded neckband. Cable panels on the front, back, and sleeves are worked from charts.
