A becoming top or undershirt in plain knitting in silk with a textured pattern under the armholes. The top is slightly fitted without being tight (optional). Rolled edge for all the edges. Accurate written pattern with charts for the textured pattern. The top is worked in rounds until armholes - but if you prefer, it can be worked flat; instructions included in the pattern. Also suitable to work in a fine cotton.
This design is suitable for all ages.
Skill level from 1 (beginner) to 5 (advanged): 3.
The measurements throughout the pattern are given in cm as well as inches.
Measurements of the garment (after wash - the yarn expand (ca. 5 - 6 %) in use therefore the bust measurements are quite small compared to the size):
Bust: 80 cm - 87 cm - 94 cm - 108 cm - 122 cm (in: 31½ - 34¼ - 37 - 42½ - 48)
Length: 60 cm - 62 cm - 64 cm - 66 cm - 68 cm (in: 23½ - 24½ - 25¼: - 26 - 26¾) or as desired
The yarn used for the original model: our SETA 100 % bourette silk, 150 - 150 - 200 - 250 - 300 g. 50 g = 240 meters.
Needles: and circular needles (or double pointed) no 2½ and 3 mm.
Suggestions of yarn alternatives: Hand Maiden Sea Silk, ITO Kinu (to knit with 2 strands).
