This hat was designed while I was cross country skiing into the Elk Pass. It is a high mountain pass in the Canadian Rockies that traverses the continental divide. It connects the Elk Valley in the province of British Columbia with the Kananaskis Valley in Alberta.

The ribbed brim is reminiscent of the constant accent up the Whiskey Jack trail. You are then rewarded with a meandering trail through the chickadee filled forest which opens up into many small meadows. One last push up to the top of the Pass is shown in the decrease ridge. If followed closely and with persistence, takes you to the open views of the valleys to the north and south.

This hat comes in 3 sizes and is easily modified for a custom fit.

Enjoy the knit and take time to appreciate the view.
