how much yarn will you need?
yarn usage will differ depending on size, hook, and yarn weight- pattern Look book will include more ex of yardage.

As an example- for a medium size top- I used fyberspates scrumptious lace (1) in natural ~1000yards/ 100g with a 2.5 mm hook & I used 650 yards/ 65g

Materials
I recommend using a softer yarn.
Avoid rough dense yarns.

• fine weight (2) or a lighter weight (1) or (0)

• 3mm crochet hook

• if you use a (0) or (1) weight yarn use a 2.5mm hook

• measuring tape

• yarn needle

• scissors

• stitch markers (4)

• You can also use a crochet #10 thread (0) with a 3.0mm hook
