“Give light and people will find the way” was the name of a workshop that Ella Baker gave at the Highlander Folk School in Tennessee. This workshop inspired Rosa Parks among others.

This shawl speaks to this history with its guiding chevrons and fringe to hold onto as we find our way together.

This shawl is a nice repetitive knit. The resulting shawl is large and beautiful with an elegant drape. With this pattern, you have the option to add fringe (which would require an extra skein of yarn), bead, or do none of that extra stuff. The instructions are provided in written and charted form.

The pattern provides both written and charted instructions. As shown, this shawl is about 81” wide and 32” tall.
