The design for this cowl was inspired by the arrival of Autumn, the squishy Lichen dyed Merino yarn I used to knit the pattern, and the Ellerbe Creek that winds through the woods behind my house.

This pattern requires basic knitting knowledge (knit, purl, ssk, k2tog, yo) and will introduce you to simple cables. Directions are provided in chart and written form to guide you.

23” Circumference x 9” Tall

Yarn:

1 skein of Hey Lady Hey “New England Spun Merino Worsted 2-ply yarn | 220 yards/100 grams (or another comparable yarn)

US 7 / 4.5 mm 16” circular needle or DPNS
2 stitch markers

Happy Knitting!
