Ellie the Elf Cat is definitely the hardest worker in Santa’s workshop. She’s been spinning yarn and winding it into balls all year long. She’s practically bursting out of her suspenders with excitement now that Catmas is finally here. She can’t wait to see all of the happy kittens and crocheters on Catmas Day when they receive all of their new yarn!

This 12-page crochet pattern contains all of the instructions and photos you will need in order to create your own Christmas elf cat complete with hat and yarn balls. There is also an additional 5-page printer-friendly version of the pattern included. This pattern has been thoroughly tested and proofread to be easy to follow. You are welcome to sell finished objects made from this pattern.

Skill-level: Intermediate

The recommended yarn/hook combo will result in a project ~4 in/10 cm tall. However, feel free to use your preferred yarn/hook combo. Using a thicker yarn will result in a larger finished project. Basic crochet techniques and stitches (magic ring, single crochet, slip stitch, chain, increase, invisible decrease, double crochet, working into front/back-loop stitches, and color changes) are used in this pattern. Instructions are provided for face shaping and the invisible color change.

Materials:
Yarn: Cotton sport (#2) weight yarn or yarn of your choice (~128 yd/117 m)
Hook: 2.75mm or the appropriate hook for your yarn
Toy stuffing
Safety eyes: 10 mm or the appropriate size for your yarn
Embroidery thread
Stitch marker
Yarn needle
Scissors
