Named for the misunderstood Wicked Witch herself, the Elphaba Shawl is a simple but striking. Designed with a Faroese construction style wings and a chevron center panel, this shawl is easy to follow but has just enough detail to keep you motivated.

This sample is done in Dragon Hoard Yarn Co.’s Defying Gravity colorway from her Wicked kit collection and was the inspiration behind my design. A one skein project, this shawl requires only about 100 grams of yarn, perfect for a set that includes a main color skein and a mini skein contrast color. Choose two colors, or make your wings from scraps and minis. However you decide to defy gravity, get ready to get wicked with the Elphaba shawl!

Happy Knitting!
