The ELSA hat was created following the discovery of these rather particular ribs taken from the book ‘’ 250 Japanese knitting stitches ‘’ and which were a favorite for me.

The ELSA hat is knitted from the bottom up. The stitch is done using a cable needle. The pattern comes with charts and written explanations.
Two sizes are available :
Size M = 14,5’’/ 37.5 cm unstretched ribs
Size L = 17,5’’/ 45 cm unstretched ribs
To be worn with negative ease of about 6-8’’/15-20 cm

MATERIALS :

BASIQUE by Colorista, worsted weight, 100% merino wool (115 g/202 yds per skein) : 1 skein
• Circular needles US 7
• Cable needle
• Stitch marker

GAUGE :
32 stitches and 35 rows = 4’’ in fancy ribs (un-stretched), with needles US 7.

Le bonnet ELSA a été créé suite à la découverte de ces côtes un peu particulières tirées du livre ‘’250 Japanese knitting stitches’’ et qui ont été un coup de coeur pour moi.

Le bonnet ELSA se tricote du bas vers le haut. Le point se fait à l’aide d’une aiguille à torsade. Le patron vient avec diagrammes et explications écrites.
Deux tailles sont proposées :
Taille M = 37,5 cm côtes non étirées
Taille L = 45 cm côtes non étirées
Pour être porté avec une aisance négative d’environ 15-20 cm

Important : l’échantillon est indispensable à la réalisation d’un tricot aux bonnes dimensions. 10 cm de côtes fantaisie non étirées, aiguilles 4,5 mm = 32 mailles et 35 rangs.
