When I have seen this type of hat for the first time, I have said to myself that I have to figure it out how to make it. Aaand, I did it!
This beanie is very versatile, not only because it sends you to magical lands when you look at its twists, but also because using the same needle size and different types of yarn (hold together), you can create something really magic, beautiful, funny and warm for your little hero/heroine or, why not, for yourself.
So, all you have to do is to pick up some 5 mm (8 US) round needles and some yarn.
About the yarn. You can use:
Aran or worsted yarn;
Two strings of DK or Sport yarn hold together;
Three strings of Fingering yarn hold together
If you are using a high percentage of Acryl, the beanie will keep its high shape ( like a tall snail house), and if you are using 100% wool, then you will have a very warm and cute hat, which will hold forever and it will be soft and sweet. It’s all up on you.
I do prefer wool, but this is my own decision and it should not be a must for you also :-).
