The Elvi Dress Junior is knitted from the top down. First, two front pieces are knitted and joined together, then worked to the desired length with increases towards the armholes. Stitches are picked up at the shoulders, and two short back pieces are knitted and then joined together. The front and back pieces are joined under the arms, and the dress is then worked in the round in stockinette stitch, with increases to shape the skirt. The dress is finished with a small slit at each side, a short ribbed section and an Italian bind-off. Stitches are picked up around the armholes and neckline, and a few rounds of ribbing are worked before finishing with an Italian bind-off.
